69th Uptown Whittier Christmas Parade @ Uptown Whittier
We’re super excited to bring you another spectacular holiday event that celebrates our wonderful community. This year’s theme is “Whittier Wonderland,” and we’re calling on your creativity to make it truly magical! Let’s capture that small-town charm with a dash of Whittier’s own unique spirit.

Application Deadline: November 6th
Remember, all participants need to pay their fees – no exceptions, but trust us, it’s going to be worth it!
Prizes: This year, we’ve got an exciting treat for you! Thanks to our incredible title sponsor Athens, as well as our float sponsors (stay tuned for updates!), we’re offering a grand prize of $5000 for the best decorated float. How’s that for some holiday cheer?
Here’s How It Works:
Complete the application form.
If you’re selected, a friendly member of the WUA board will send you an acceptance letter that’s sure to make your heart soar.
Along with your acceptance letter, you’ll receive an invoice for the category you’ve chosen, along with additional information.
You must enter a float into the parade to be considered for the $5000 prize.
The Big Reveal: On parade day, we’ll have a panel of judges who will be on the lookout for the most spectacular displays. They’ll be judging based on overall presentation, how well you’ve embraced the wonderland theme, and those fabulous costumes.
Drumroll, please: We’ll announce the contest winner on our social media platforms just an hour after the parade. The anticipation will be almost as exciting as opening presents on Christmas morning!
Our parade route remains unchanged, bringing joy from Hadley to Mar Vista on Greenleaf Ave.
